Actor Sahil Khan recently announced that his wife, Milena Alexandra, has converted to Islam. The actor married 22-year-old Milena, originally from Belarus, Europe, in 2024, making her his second wife.
Sahil shared the news on Instagram, writing, “Very Proud to Announce That My Wife Milena Alexandra. Has Chosen To Embrace Islam. Alhamdulillah For This Beautiful Journey! May Allah Forgive Us & Accept Our Prayers.”
While the announcement received some congratulatory messages, it also sparked significant backlash online. Many criticized Sahil for allegedly pressuring his wife to convert after marriage, questioning the necessity of such a step.
A user commented, “Why is embracing Islam important for her if she loves you so much? Would you not accept Christianity if you love her truly? No offence but just out of curiosity. What is the use of embracing Islam without studying and researching it? And not only Islam, what is the use of embracing any religion just for marriage if you both have a rock solid bonding? Another questioned, “Is it necessary to change religion after marriage?” A third added, “If u really love her…then why u want her to change her religion? Accept her whatever she is!!”
Additionally, netizens called out Sahil for wearing a cross pendant in the announcement post, with one commenting, “Your necklace is a symbol of another religion.”

Sahil had previously revealed in 2024 that he and Milena got engaged in Russia and later tied the knot legally. Addressing their 22-year age difference, he told Hindustan Times, “She is very intelligent but also sensitive because she is quite young. We have a lot of differences in our ages. She is much more mature mentally than many other 21-year-olds and also very calm in nature.”

This marks Sahil’s second marriage. He was previously married to Iranian-born Norwegian actress Negar Khan in 2003. However, the couple divorced in July 2005 after two years of marriage.
