Producer Pahlaj Nihalani recently described Divya Bharti as a unique actor with unparalleled dedication to her craft. Nihalani, who formerly chaired the CBFC, collaborated with Bharti in the 1992 film ‘Shola Aur Shabnam,’ alongside Govinda. Bharti tragically passed away in 1993.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the producer reminisced about Divya’s remarkable dedication, noting how she would tirelessly shoot for the film for up to 20 consecutive hours without a single complaint. The screenplay for the drama was penned by Anees Bazmee, while it was directed by David Dhawan.

Describing Divya as exceptional, the producer praised her unwavering commitment to her craft. Indifferent to long hours, she worked tirelessly, even through injuries, without complaint. In David Dhawan’s absence, the action director oversaw the shoot. The producer, stationed near the monitor, was unaware of Divya’s injury upon her return. Despite her visible pain, she calmly requested his handkerchief to bind her foot. Only upon closer inspection did he notice the blood. Concerned, he promptly called for a halt to filming.
Despite Nihalani’s decision to end the shoot, Divya insisted on continuing, assuring him of her determination to see it through. Despite her obvious discomfort, she remained composed and focused on her work. Eventually, when they did call for pack-up, Nihalani informed the production team that shooting would be canceled the following morning.

However, Divya’s determination to proceed with the shoot persisted. Despite attempts to persuade her otherwise, including calling her mother, she adamantly refused to halt production. Even suggestions of seeking medical attention or trying home remedies were dismissed by the resolute actor.

Nihalani informed Divya’s mother about the cancellation of the shoot the next day, urging her to rest. However, at six in the morning, Divya herself retrieved the keys from housekeeping and woke Nihalani up, insisting on resuming shooting. Despite his attempt to ensure her well-being, Divya remained determined to continue working, leaving a lasting impression on the producer.
