Fateh, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and others, is having difficulty attracting viewers at the box office. On its opening day, the Sonu Sood directorial earned Rs 2 crore, helped by discounted ticket prices of Rs 99 across the country.
The film saw little growth over its second and third days at the box office, earning Rs 2 crore on both Saturday and Sunday. The total collection stands at Rs 6 crore net in India. Despite some promotional efforts and external factors, the film’s performance was below expectations, as it should have ideally doubled its opening day earnings over the weekend.
Fateh’s disappointing performance could be attributed to the absence of a major star power and a lack of strong word-of-mouth. While the action and gore were praised, the film struggled to deliver compelling content, leaving many viewers unsatisfied.
Meanwhile, Fateh tells the story of Fateh Singh (Sonu Sood), a former Indian spy now living a peaceful life as a dairy farm supervisor in Moga, Punjab. His calm life is upended when Nimrat (Shivjyoti Rajput), who is like a sister to him, travels to Delhi to take on the developers behind a predatory loan app she unknowingly promoted.
When Nimrat disappears, Fateh embarks on a mission to find her, uncovering a massive cybercrime operation. With the help of Khushi Sharma (Jacqueline Fernandez), an ethical hacker, Fateh dives into the digital world to bring down the scam.
