‘Brahmastra’ director Ayan Mukerji set to direct ‘Dhoom 4’ with Ranbir Kapoor? Here’s what we know! | Hindi Movie News

Recently, on Ranbir Kapoor‘s birthday on September 28, a report suggested that the actor is set to be the new lead in ‘Dhoom 3‘. This report led to a frenzy among fans who are still not over Ranbir’s solid performance in ‘Animal’. Meanwhile, ‘Dhoom’ is one of the biggest franchises of YRF which has only gotten bigger with each part, in terms of the casting and scale.Now, according to reports, Aditya Chopra is considering Ayan Mukerji for directing ‘Dhoom 4‘.
Apparently, Aditya Chopra is quite impressed with Ayan Mukerji’s work on ‘War 2’ and is considering him for directing the fourth installment of this big franchise, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. This report comes after a report in Pinkvilla confirmed that Ranbir is set to play the new lead of ‘Dhoom 4’. Vijay Krishna Acharya who was the writer on ‘Dhoom 1’ and ‘Dhoom 2’ and also had directed ‘Dhoom 3’. The first two installments were directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. In all probability, Acharya is not set to helm ‘Dhoom 4’ and Ayan Mukerji may step in.
Ayan is currently shooting ‘WAR 2’ with Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. Recently, the crew was shooting for a song in Italy. Some images of Kiara and Hrithik shooting for a song had gone viral on the internet.
According to the report, Aditya has informally told Ayan to helm ‘Dhoom 4’ and while he’s quite excited for it, he has asked for some time as he wants to completely focus on ‘WAR 2’ before he even thinks about ‘Brahmastra 2′ and ‘Dhoom 4’.
It has also been reported that Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra who are the constants of the Dhoom franchise with their characters Jai and Ali, may not be a part of ‘Dhoom 4’. Thus, Chopra is expected to take his time and make sure he pins on the right cast and director for the film.
