Kangana Ranaut reacts to Bengaluru techie’s suicide: ‘Men are at fault in 99% marriage cases’ | Hindi Movie News

Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has commented on the tragic suicide of Bengaluru-based techie Atul Subhash, whose viral video and 24-page note have stirred widespread shock. Subhash, 34, reportedly blamed harassment by his wife, her family, and a judge in Uttar Pradesh for his decision to take his life. A placard reading “Justice is due” was found near his body.
Reacting to the incident, Kangana told PTI, “The entire country is in shock. His video is heartbreaking… Fake feminism is condemnable.” However, she controversially added, “In 99% of marriage cases, men are at fault.”
The techie’s emotional 80-minute video detailed his struggles with alleged exploitation. He claimed that his earnings were being used against him and stated, “The money I earn is making my enemies stronger… With money from my taxes, this court and police system will harass me.” Subhash demanded that his wife and her family be barred from his final rites, highlighting the severity of his grievances.
Kangana’s remarks have sparked a debate, with some agreeing with her stance against misuse of laws while others criticized her generalized statement blaming men.
Meanwhile, Kangana recently attended the screening of The Sabarmati Report at the Balyogi Auditorium in Parliament complex. After watching the movie, she urged people to watch the movie. “It is a very important film… the previous government hid facts from the people. The film shows how people played politics in such a grave situation back then,” she told reporters.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also watched the film along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other MPs. The cast of the film also joined them at the screening.
